Program Description:

University College London

UCL has a history of academic excellence and is consistently ranked among the world's top universities.

UCL has for more than 40 years welcomed students from colleges and universities overseas who wish to gain credit for courses taken at UCL in order to graduate from their own home universities. Primarily such students come from North America, Europe and Japan. Most study abroad students at UCL are in their their third or fourth year of study. Although study abroad students follow a similar programme of study to UK students they are officially known as "affiliate" students as they do not receive their degree from UCL, but remain registered as degree students of their home institutions. UCL currently admits over 800 study abroad students each year.

Study abroad students can study for either the Fall term, the Spring and Summer terms, or the full academic year. Some departments only allow entry for the full academic year, so students should plan ahead.
