Program Description:

London School of Economics Summer School

The internationally renowned Summer School offers over 80 three-week courses taught by LSE's world-renowned faculty.

The extensive range of courses covers the breadth of the social science expertise available at the LSE. Courses range from traditional core Economics and Finance subjects to those concerned with contemporary politics and management practice. Whichever course you choose will provide you with a valuable contribution to your chosen field, whether it be studying for a degree or in your professional career.

The programme is based on regular undergraduate courses taught at LSE and therefore you will find the courses academically challenging and intellectually stimulating.

You will find that the opportunity offered by Summer School extends further than world-class teaching. The programme is a learning experience made unique by  a truly diverse mix of participants drawn from over 80 countries and with an eclectic range of backgrounds. Whilst many participants are current graduate or undergraduate students, the programme attracts significant professional representation. LSE regularly hosts representatives from the United Nations, European Union, and leading international banks.

Lecturers are experts in their chosen fields and committed to providing the very best traditional rigour with contemporary relevance. LSE's faculty are actively involved in academic research and many act as advisers and consultants to companies and Government bodies. Most of LSE's teaching is located in our award winning building, Clement House.

All Summer School participants are considered part of the wider LSE community and are afforded the same rights and privileges as regular students, so you will quickly feel integrated into the heart of the School. There is an organised social programme affording opportunity to meet and relax with your course teachers and fellow participants. The atmosphere around campus is convivial and interactive, you may develop friendships which will last well beyond the programme.
