USAC:  San Sebastián, Spain

The summer San Sebastián program is ideal for students unable to participate on the semester or year-long program and who are interested in studying the Basque language and culture. Students may also take courses in Spanish Language and European Studies. San Sebastián has the highest level of bilingualism of any of the cities in Spain's Basque region, as all of its inhabitants speak Spanish, and one third speak Basque as well.

Academics

The summer San Sebastián program offers two sessions, as well as an intensive language approach that allows you to complete a semester of university foreign language study in one session, or one year in two sessions. You may participate in one or both sessions and choose from courses in three diverse academic areas: Spanish Language, Basque Language and European Studies.  Please see the USAC San Sebastián website for further information.

Housing

Students may select to live with a host family or in apartments with other students.  Please visit the USAC San Sebastián website for further information.

Please Note:  Spanish Majors, Minors, or those seeking to take 3000-level courses should consult with the Spanish department as a part of their application to this program.
