Program Overview

The University of St. Gallen is recognized as one of the leading business universities in Europe, with an integrated curriculum that includes social sciences in order to frame business education within a social and historical context. Set in a picturesque landscape not far from the Swiss Alps, St. Gallen has an old town feel with modern infrastructure and rich cultural activities.

Application Process

Students must attend the McIntire information session and complete the online Education Abroad Workshop on this site. Students should then complete the online "UVA Commerce: Semester Abroad" application on this site.

Applications are due by noon on the deadline date. Once admission is approved, students will be required to complete a program-specific application packet and attend several orientation sessions later in the semester.

Additional Information

This program is an exchange program, with tuition being paid to UVA. When studying abroad all UVA students are required to have both basic international health coverage and emergency assistance coverage through the UVA-sponsored plan with CISI.
