Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) invites you to take the road less traveled and experience Israel as never before. Raise your expectations and participate in a truly unique immersive study abroad program.
As an international student at BGU, you can spend a semester or year taking challenging and inspiring courses at BGU. You will study Hebrew language in an intensive preparatory period called the "Ulpan" and then choose from a variety of courses taught in English that are designed to take advantage of the many academic specialties of Ben-Gurion University. Our Sustainable Development, Global Health, and Israel Studies courses have been particularly successful in the past. Click here for course selections in English for both the Fall and Spring semesters.
To complement your academic studies in Israel, you will be encouraged to participate in volunteer service or an internship, which will deepen your knowledge and exposure to Israel and its people. You will live in dormitory apartments with Israeli students, providing you with the opportunity to practice your Hebrew and forge a genuine connection with Israelis. You will also explore Israel on organized trips, where you will learn about the country's history, landscape and diverse traditions. Finally, as a student at BGU, you will become a part of the University’s vibrant student body and gain a deep understanding of Israeli life.
