The Hoos Abroad Registration is appropriate for all undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, including GME Trainees, engaging in Student International Travel for University-related purposes.  This includes travel for research, conferences, training, practicums, projects, internships, and athletic competitions.

Students should open a registration at least one month prior to departure and complete all requirements at least one week prior to departure.  The International Studies Office recommends that participants complete the Registration as early as possible.

If your plans change after having begun the Registration and you will no longer participate in the international activities, please contact the International Studies Office at hoosabroad@virginia.edu to withdraw your Registration.
