Students interested in a more immersive, academically-rich experience should consider the year-long program. Students in this program have access to more than 250 courses offered at the university, with a range of social science subjects.
Courses at the School are year-long in duration, with teaching taking place in the fall and spring terms, and examinations in the summer term. The year-long structure means that students are able to cover topics in considerably more depth and breadth than in an equivalent single-semester course. General Course students will take four courses (or equivalent half-unit courses). These courses will include lectures and smaller discussions, and students are expected to pursue independent study as well.
Students can join any of LSE’s 200 social, political and cultural clubs and societies. The university also organizes various social events for year-long students throughout the year. All study abroad students are guaranteed a place in one of LSE’s central London residences. Life at LSE
