Program Overview
The University of Edinburgh Bayes Business School has a reputation for excellence, chartered in 1919 at one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the world dating back to 1582. The School mission “inspiring people to do business better” contributes to a purpose-driven, rigorous, independent classroom experience. Edinburgh has consistently been named one of the best places to live in the UK and is both a modern, international city, and a historic World Heritage Site. Its thriving business sector includes large corporations, small and medium-sized enterprises, and headquarters of many global financial institutions. Festivals and events happen year-round, and beyond Edinburgh, Scotland boasts stunning mountain scenery, vibrant towns and cities, a rugged coastline, and beautiful islands.

Application Process
Students must attend the McIntire information session and complete the online Education Abroad Workshop on this site. Students should then complete the online "UVA Commerce: Semester Abroad" application on this site.

Applications are due by noon on the deadline date. Once admission is approved, students will be required to complete a program-specific application packet and attend several orientation sessions later in the semester.

Additional Information
This program is an exchange program, with tuition being paid to UVA. When studying abroad all UVA students are required to have both basic international health coverage and emergency assistance coverage through the UVA-sponsored plan with CISI. See the Insurance page on this website for more information about requirements.
